The seal of the American Virgin Islands , a group of islands in the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean and an outer area of ​​the United States , has a round shield and shows the outlines of the three main islands in darker green in blue. On the island near the upper edge are the national flags of the USA and Denmark (see Danish West Indies ). In the center is a sugar bird sitting on a yellow blooming branch of flowers as the heraldic animal of the islands.
