Winfried Wagner (actor)
Winfried Wagner (born October 24, 1937 in Sebnitz ; † June 16, 2018 ) was a German actor .
Life
Winfried Wagner was born in 1937 as the seventh of eight children to a Catholic family of teachers in Sebnitz, Saxony. He belonged to the Dresden Kapellknaben until his Abitur , and had a high-pitched baritone singing voice with a wonderful timbre. The actress Antonia Dietrich discovered the theatrical talent of the choir boy during a Christmas performance and he began studying at the Leipzig Theater School .
After this training he came to the Meininger Theater until his former teacher Otto Lang brought him to the German National Theater in Weimar . In 1963 he was appointed to the Volksbühne Berlin by Wolfgang Heinz , of which he was a member until 2006. Here Wagner also found his way to song and reading evenings, and his musical training also helped him. Another large part of his work had television, for which he participated in many films.
From 1990 to 1992 Winfried Wagner was the acting director of the Berliner Volksbühne. He found his final resting place in the forest cemetery in 15712 Senzig , Friedhofsweg.
