Alexei Aidarov ( Ukrainian Олексій Айдаров ; Belarusian Аляксей Айдараў / Aljaxej Ajdarau ; Russian Алексей Петрович Айдаров / Alexei Petrovich Aidarow * 15. November 1974 in Sverdlovsk ) is a in the Russian SSR born biathlete , the first for Belarus has been active and present for Ukraine starts.

Oleksiy Ajdarow is a sports soldier and lives in Minsk . He operates the biathlon since 1984 and is effective for Dinamo Minsk Biatlon on. He made his first appearance in the Biathlon World Cup for Belarus starting in 1994 at an individual in Bad Gastein , where he was 12th straight away. He was able to establish himself in the World Cup very quickly and continued to work his way up to the top of the world. In 1996 in Östersund he came in eighth for the first time in the top 10. He celebrated his first World Cup victory in 1997 in a pursuit in Lillehammer , in which he started from tenth place. The following season he won another World Cup, this time a sprint in Ruhpolding . Ajdarow's best seasons were 1997/98 and 1998/99, where he was 13th and 12th in the overall World Cup.

Apart from 2005 he took part in all biathlon world championships from 1995 to 2007 . Despite good placings such as a fifth place in 2000 at Holmenkollen in the individual or an eighth place in the sprint and a seventh place in the pursuit of the championship fights of Kontiolahti 1999 , he could never win an individual World Championship medal. In Kontiolahti he was world champion with the relay, 2001 in Pokljuka he won silver and 1996 in Ruhpolding and 2003 in Khanty-Mansiysk bronze, always with the Belarusian relay. At the Biathlon World Championships 2007 in Antholz , he appeared for the first time for Ukraine and reached eighth place in the relay.

Ajdarov started twice at the Olympic Games. In 1998 in Nagano , he won bronze in the individual and narrowly missed another medal with the relay as fourth. Four years later in Salt Lake City his best placements were again in the singles (17th) and with the relay (8th).
