technology
engine
The engine, a water-cooled, single-cylinder four-stroke engine with four valves, twin overhead camshafts and dry sump lubrication, is manufactured by Kymco in Taiwan . The digital engine management with overrun fuel cut-off controls an electronic intake manifold injection. A regulated three-way catalytic converter cleans the exhaust gas.
drive
The mechanically operated multi-disc clutch sits directly on the crankshaft and runs in an oil bath. The claw-shift five-speed gearbox is integrated in the engine housing.
The chain pinion and the swing arm pivot are on the same axis.
