The BMW R 1150 R is a bare motorcycle from the vehicle manufacturer BMW . Like all models in the R series, the naked bike is powered by a boxer engine with two cylinders.
The roadster has several sister models of similar construction, such as the touring sports car R 1150 RS and the touring tourer R 1150 RT with largely identical engines, but with different cladding and chassis design. The tank of the R 1150 R holds 20.4 liters of premium gasoline. The wheel suspension was implemented by a Telelever at the front and a Paralever at the rear .
General
The R 1150 R replaced the BMW R 1100 R in the 2000 model year . The motorcycle is optionally equipped with an anti-lock braking system. The cost price was around € 9,700.
With the 2006 model, the R 1150 R has been through the R 1200 R replaced.
