Bury is a French commune with 2,971 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Clermont and is part of the Communauté de communes du Clermontois and the canton of Mouy .
geography
The community is located around 13 kilometers southwest of Clermont and across from Mouy on the left (eastern) bank of the Thérain near the partially marshy Marais de Saint-Claude. The railway line from Beauvais to Creil , which follows the course of the Thérain, touches the municipality. Bury shares with Mouy Mouy-Bury station, which also serves the parish of Angy , and which is located in the parish of Bury. Bury includes the towns of Mérard, Lombardie, Saint-Épin and Saint-Claude, the Boisicourt and Brivois farms and the Cité Herminie settlement.
history
Grave finds prove that Bury was already settled in Gallo-Roman times. Bury was destroyed in the League's Wars in 1591.
