In winter Pic started for Arden International in the GP2 Asia Series season 2009/2010 . On the third race weekend in Sakhir , he achieved his first victory in the sprint race. At the end of the season he finished fifth overall. Pic also took part in the main series of GP2 with Arden International in 2010 . In his debut race on the Circuit de Catalunya , he immediately scored his first victory in the GP2 series, something that only Heikki Kovalainen (2005) and Álvaro Parente (2008) had achieved before him . In the further course of the season he scored points in only four other races and finished tenth overall at the end of the season. Against his teammate Rodolfo González he clearly prevailed with 28 to 4 points. In 2011 Pic competed for the Barwa Addax team in the GP2 Asia and GP2 series. Within the team, he prevailed against Giedo van der Garde , who was fifth. After the season, Pic took part in Formula 1 test drives for Virgin for the first time .
In 2012 Pic made his Formula 1 debut for Marussia, Virgin's successor team.
