Fours is about 47 kilometers east-southeast of Nevers . The Alène river limits the municipality to the north. Fours is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Thaix in the north, Rémilly in the east, La Nocle-Maulaix in the south and south-east, Montambert in the south and south-west and Cercy-la-Tour in the west and north-west.
