Hausen is in the middle of Lohmar. Surrounding villages and hamlets are Jüchen , Mackenbach (Lohmar) and Dorpmühle in the north, Weeg , Hausdorp and Höfferhof in the northeast, Alfenhard in the east, Röttgen and Grimberg in the south, Kreuznaaf and Peisel in the southwest, Höngesberg in the west and Stolzenbach (Lohmar) in the northwest .
Hausen is located in an agricultural area. There is forest to the north and west of Hausen and there are large areas of meadows around it.
A nameless orographic left tributary of the Agger rises in Hausen .

Until August 1, 1969, the place belonged to the previously independent municipality Wahlscheid .
