The Kategoria e Pare 1993/94 (mutatis mutandis: First League ) was the 55th staging of the Albanian football championship and was the National Football Association Federata Shqiptare e Futbollit aligned. The season began on September 4, 1993 and ended on April 30, 1994.

Season course

The league had been reduced from 16 to 14 teams compared to the previous year. In the season 1992/93 were KS Kastrioti , FK Tomori Berat and KS Pogradeci relegated from the Kategoria e Pare, for the new season came Besëlidhja Lezhë after three years of absence added again. The defending champion was FK Partizani Tirana .

The championship was played in a regular season with a round trip. Each team competed twice against each other team. In contrast to the previous year, when the last three teams had to relegate to the then still second-rate category e dytë, this time only the bottom two were relegated because the league was to be increased to 16 participants again in the following season. Due to new UEFA rules, the champions no longer moved into the UEFA Champions League as we did before , but into the UEFA Cup , so Albania did not have any Champions League participants next year.

A total of 388 goals were scored, which corresponds to an average of 2.1 goals per game. Edi Martini from KS Vllaznia Shkodra was the top scorer with 14 goals .

After the runner-up in the previous year, Teuta Durrës was able to conquer the top of the table and celebrate the first championship title in the club's history. You only had to concede nine goals and distanced pursuer SK Tirana , which, like third-placed Flamurtari Vlora , had been involved in the relegation battle in the previous season, by four points. It was followed by Vllaznia Shkodra in fourth place. Once again, more than half of the league was in danger of relegation by the end. Even the other top teams Partizani and Dinamo Tirana , just like Apolonia Fier and KF Elbasani, had only two points ahead of the first relegation place in the end. Albpetrol Patos , newcomer Beselidhja Lezhë and last year's third Besa Kavaja were even only one point behind. In addition to the knocked-down Sopoti Librazhd , KS Lushnja therefore had to go into the second division - and this only because of the goal difference compared to the same point KS Laçi with a single hit worse .
