The men's 400-meter hurdles at the European Athletics Championships in 1994 was held from August 7th to 10th, 1994 in the Olympic Stadium in the Finnish capital Helsinki .

European champion was the Ukrainian Oleh Twerdochleb . Second place went to the Swedish European Championship runner-up in 1990, Sven Nylander . Bronze went to the French Stéphane Diagana .
