  • The M5 on the Russian trunk road network
  • The M5 Ural ( Russian Урал ) is a trunk road of federal importance in Russia . It leads from Moscow as a continuation of the local Volgograd Prospectus via Ryazan , Pensa , Samara and Ufa to Chelyabinsk and is 1855 km long. Longer branches, which are also called M5, lead from Penza to Saransk , from Syzran to Ulyanovsk , from Samara to Orenburg and from Chelyabinsk to Yekaterinburg .

The M5 is part of the transcontinental road connection from Moscow to Vladivostok and thus the AH 6 in the Asian trunk road network and part of the European route 30 . Between Moscow and Ryazan as well as in sections near Samara, Ufa and Chelyabinsk it has been developed into a motorway-like road .
