Ursula Molitor (born June 6, 1947 in Hermannsburg , Lower Saxony ) is a German graphic designer and light artist. She studied graphic design in Hamburg and then worked as a graphic designer and illustrator . She has been working as a freelance artist in Cologne since 1983.

Vladimir Kuzmin (born October 16, 1943 in Zaporozhye , Soviet Union , today Ukraine ) is a Russian painter and light artist. He studied architecture in Moscow and worked as a freelance artist in the field of painting and printmaking in Moscow. He has lived and worked in Cologne since 1992.

Since 1996 both have formed the artist duo Molitor & Kuzmin . For their installations and light art objects, they work with the play of light and shadow, with contrasts and paradoxes. The preferred working material are industrial fluorescent tubes , which they use artistically like modules. Relieved of their original meaning, they are put together to create light works of art, the technical character and materiality of which seem to dissolve into radiant brightness and bring the light to effect as such: “ The fluorescent tube is form and color at the same time. “( White Square Gallery : Parcours 11.
