SOKO - The process is a German five-part crossover film between the German SOKO - crime series 5113 , Köln , Wismar , Stuttgart and Leipzig . The first broadcast took place from September 30 to October 4, 2013 in five 45-minute episodes on ZDF at 6:05 p.m. The film represents - apart from the name - the first connection between the SOKO series.

action

Part 1 ( SOKO 5113 )

The car mechanic Peter Riedl was killed in his Munich workshop. Robbery can be ruled out, but the brutality of the crime is surprising. After Dr. Weissenböck has restored a hidden tattoo , it becomes clear that Riedl was a member of the Munich chapter of the MC Bullshark. This leads the investigators to the leader of the chapter, Frank Wellinger.

Another lead leads to the attorney Paul Korte, who represents the accessory prosecution in a large trial that will take place in Leipzig in a few days. The deceased had made himself available as a witness for the defense. In the trial, the head of the Cologne Chapter of the Bullsharks, Alex Krüger, is accused of contract killing a Leipzig police officer.

Part 2 ( SOKO Cologne )

Since the evidence in the murder trial against Alex Krüger is very thin, Matti Wagner was smuggled undercover into the Cologne chapter of the MC Bullshark. The use of the undercover seems to be paying off when Toni Ueckenrath, Alex Krüger's right-hand man, gives him his first order. Matti is supposed to get 100,000 euros and provisions for biker Thomas Brandner, who murdered Peter Riedl two days ago in Munich. But when he arrives in the fugitive's hiding place, Matti only finds his body and is knocked down by a stranger. Now Karin Reuter, who was the only one from the team who was still in the know, has to tell her colleagues Vanessa and Jonas.

Furthermore, the murder of Brandner must be solved. The tracks also lead to a travel agency run by the dead man's sister.

Then the SOKO also has to look for Paul Korte, who is kidnapped by the bikers and presumably held captive in Cologne.

Matti is fetched from the hospital by the bikers and continues his undercover work on his own.

Meanwhile, Jonas reveals the travel agency's secret. “Dream trips” with prostitutes are offered on behalf of the bikers. When the missing 100,000 euros are found at the owner, who has wanted to get out for a long time, the investigators assume a family drama. However, the suspect denies the murder of her brother. When the bikers find out that Matti works for the police, he is in danger.

Part 3 ( SOKO Wismar )

The Bullsharks motorcycle club now operates nationwide. In Wismar, Jule Wachowiak, a prostitute, is found strangled in her apartment. There are neither traces nor witnesses, and Emily Schaper, the dead woman's neighbor, claims that she hardly knew her. Finally, a calendar entry leads to the customer Falk Budnik. Although he admits to having been in the victim's apartment on the evening of the crime, he denies any involvement in the murder. Another trail leads to the former workplace of the dead, a table dance -Bar on the harbor. There the inspectors meet Emily Schaper, who wants to flee when she sees the police. She seems to know more than she says.

When the Wismar inspectors received a tip from their colleagues in Cologne and Leipzig, the motorcycle club and the police-known Pit Nielandt were targeted. The kidnapped Paul Korte and his father Frank Wellinger, the leader of the Munich chapter, also appear in Wismar. It turns out that Wellinger's influence in the MC and with it more and more loses control.

Part 4 ( SOKO Stuttgart )

Heike Lammers comes home from her night shift and finds her husband shot in the living room. The dead person is Uwe Lammers, a former police officer and friend of the criminal director Kaiser. The commissioners also find out that the victim's daughter, Alicia, the friend of lawyer Paul Korte, was kidnapped. Since the latter plays an important role in the murder trial, which will begin the next day in Leipzig, the Stuttgart investigators are in consultation with their colleagues from Wismar and Cologne, and the suspicion that Alicia is using pressure against Paul Korte seems to be reinforced shall be. Because this is how his testimony is to be prevented in the process that takes place in Leipzig the next day.

Korte, on the other hand, stays with his father Frank Wellinger, the boss of the Munich Bullsharks.

While Korte suspects that his father is involved in the kidnapping, the latter warns him to cooperate with the police, because there are leaks with the authorities. And before he can even think about working with SOKO, the rockers tell him where he can meet his girlfriend. In order not to endanger Alicia's life, he goes alone to the meeting point and his life is in danger.

Part 5 ( SOKO Leipzig )

The time has come: The murder trial against Alex Krüger, head of the MC Bullshark, begins. Hajo and his team also appear as witnesses. Kruger is accused of having commissioned the murder of policeman Santini. When the dead man's former partner, Moritz Kamka, is shot, it is clear that he must have known something.

A feverish search for clues that can be used in the process begins. Despite the support of their colleagues from Munich, Cologne, Wismar and Stuttgart, the Leipzig SOKO does not know who passed the police information to the bikers.

Since the evidence against Krüger is thin, the lawyer of the widow Maren Santini, Paul Korte, puts all his hopes on a testimony from his father. Frank Wellinger, the Munich biker boss, has assured him that he will testify as a witness in court. But it is also clear to the young lawyer that his father is putting his life in danger.

Frank Wellinger is shot dead shortly before he testifies in court. As it turns out, the Bullsharks obtained the information they needed from Attorney General Schweikert. When lawyer Paul Korte realizes that he has been supplying the wrong person with the information the whole time and is therefore jointly responsible for his father's death, he escapes Jan Maybach and storms into the courtroom. There he stole a police officer's weapon and threatened the public prosecutor with it. The investigators Maybach and Kowalski finally succeed in getting him to the task with the help of his girlfriend Alicia Lammers.

At the end of the day, the heads of the individual SOKOs, Chief Commissioner Arthur Bauer, Chief Commissioner Karin Reuter, Chief Commissioner Jan-Hinrich Reuter, Chief Commissioner Martina Seiffert and Chief Commissioner Hans-Joachim "Hajo" Trautzschke meet for the first time in person at Leipzig Central Station . However, when the investigators want to have a passer-by take a photo and Hajo entrusts him with his cell phone, the latter steals the cell phone and escapes, the police follow him.

reception

“One would have wished for more real interaction, but overall it works perfectly well to connect the series coherently - as a viewer, however, you should bring a little concentration. Small downer for the permanent staff: Jochen Nickel as a tough old-school rocker with a bit of a conscience and Matthias Schloo as his justice-loving but unpredictable son play the usual leading actors right on the wall. "

“Admittedly, the 'SOKO' special doesn't reinvent crime thriller. But maybe it does prove that you can deviate a little from scheme F the night before without the viewer freezing to a pretzel stick in shock. "
