The ATP tournament in Bangkok (officially the last Thailand Open ) was a men's tennis tournament of the ATP , which was played on hard court in Bangkok from 2003 to 2013 . It replaced the tournament in Hong Kong . When it was first introduced it was part of the International Series on the ATP Tour , and since 2009 it has been part of the ATP World Tour 250 . In November 2013 it was announced that the tournament on the ATP World Tour will be replaced by a new competition in Shenzhen .
The record winner is the Swiss Roger Federer , who won the tournament twice; In doubles, the Israelis Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram as well as the Indian Leander Paes are record winners with two titles each. With the brothers Sonchat and Sanchai Ratiwatana , two Thais won the tournament in doubles for the first time in 2007.
