reputation
Since the University of Dundee became independent from the University of St. Andrews, the "School of Life Science Research" at the University of Dundee was chosen as the department with the greatest influence on molecular biology, genetics and biochemistry in the whole of the UK. In addition, the university won the "Queen's Anniversary Prize" for research results that established minimally invasive surgery (keyhole surgery). The university received this award again in 2005 for its achievements in drug research and development. The university is also home to the "UNESCO Center for Water Law, Policy and Science" as the only one in Great Britain to have a "UNESCO Center of Excellence".
