Vouhé is a French municipality with 656 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Rochefort and is part of the canton of Surgères . The inhabitants are called Voyacais .
geography
Vouhé is located about 22 kilometers east of La Rochelle in the historic Aunis region . Vouhé is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Benon in the north, Saint-Georges-du-Bois in the east, Surgères in the southeast, Puyravault in the south and west and Bouhet in the west.
