history
The village was probably founded around 1238. Its name is derived from the old Czech word třěmcha ( Ahlkirsche ); the later added bílá (white) probably comes from the light sandstone found in the area. The place was first mentioned in a document in 1270. In 1384, 1385, 1399 and 1405 the Weykersdorf, known as Wikeri villa in the "Register of the diocese of the papal tithe of Prague", had to pay 3 groschen per year. At the beginning of the 15th century it was also referred to as Weykers dorff superiori ; this German name can be found for the last time in 1416. The German founding name is a testimony to the Frankish colonization of the upper Elbe.
Until the 16th century Třemešná belonged to the Vladiken Třemešenský of Železna. In 1594 Adam Silber bought the village on Pilníkov and built a renaissance castle. Between 1626 and 1628 Johann Amos Comenius, together with other Bohemian brothers, was given refuge from his persecutors by Georg von Sadowsky from Sloupno at the Red Castle until he began his journey into exile.
At the end of the 18th century, the Třemešná manor was attached to the Sadová manor . In the 19th century, the Counts of Harrach owned the village. In 1858, the construction of the railway was Pardubitz according Liberec at which the station between dolní brusnice and Bílá Třemešná Bílá Třemešná was established. The Red Castle was no longer used for residential purposes under Count Harrach; between 1865 and 1866, Franz Anton von Harrach had the dilapidated building razed.
From 1910, the Les Království dam was built on the Elbe . During the time of National Socialism, the Germanization of the place name in Ahlkirschen took place in 1939 .
