Zdobín (German Sdobin ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located eight kilometers west of Dvůr Králové nad Labem and belongs to the Okres Trutnov .
geography
The place, surrounded by pine forests, is located in the southeast of the Zvičinský hřbet ridge on a hilltop above the valley of the Bystrý creek . A watershed runs through Zdobín; The Trotina rises in the village and the Zdobínský potok which flows into the Bystřice in the Baliharka spring . To the northwest lies the desert castle Šluspárk .
Neighboring towns are Třebihošť in the north, Dolní Dehtov and Hliníky in the northeast, Zábřezí-Řečice in the east, Trotina in the southeast, Trotinka and Miletín in the southwest, Miletínské Lázně in the west and Brodek and Úhlejov in the northwest.
history
The first written mention of the place Dubín , which belongs to the Miletín domain, comes from the year 1238. In 1265 the Teutonic Order acquired the village. Zdobín was completely burned down during the Thirty Years' War and it belonged to the Poličany estate from the 17th century . After the abolition of patrimonial Zdobín came to the judicial district of Hořice in 1850 and was assigned to the judicial district of Dvůr Králové nad Labem in 1924 .
Until 1919 Zdobín formed a district of Trotina . Christmas decorations have been made in Zdobín since the 1920s.
In 1865 the Baliharka spring was given a stone setting, the restoration of which was completed on September 9, 2007.
