history

The first written mention of the Church of St. Bartholomew comes from 1268. It was created at the transition from the 12th to the 13th century at the crossroads of several trade routes between Dvůr Králové nad Labem , Hořice v Podkrkonoší and Jaroměř . Later, a small village was formed around the church, which was first mentioned on October 4, 1513 and belonged to the Poličany domain . The owners included the Poličanský, von Hustířan and Bukovka families, from 1560 the Waldsteiners , from 1657 the Kotulinsky von Kotulin and from 1804 the Czezigar von Birnitz. Other forms of the name were Lanzow and Lanschow . Until the middle of the 19th century, the village always remained subordinate to Bílé Poličany.

From 1850 Lanžov formed with the districts Záborov, Sedlec, Miřejov and Lhotka a municipality in the district administration of Königgrätz . Sedlec and Záborov broke up in 1879 and formed their own community. Between 1900 and 1921 the municipality belonged to the Nová Paka district , then to the Dvůr Králové nad Labem district . After its abolition, the place was assigned to the Okres Trutnov in 1961 and Sedlec was incorporated with Záborov at the same time.

Community structure

The municipality of Lanžov consists of the districts Lanžov ( Lanschau ), Lhotka, Miřejov ( Mirschejow ), Sedlec ( Sedletz ) and Záborov ( Saborow ) and the settlement of Nebesa. The communal corridors are divided into the land registry Lanžov and Sedlec u Lanžova.
