The 2020/21 season will be the 14th season of the B-Junior Bundesliga . The start of the season is planned for September 20, 2020.

After the preseason was declared prematurely ended due to the COVID-19 pandemic following a decision by the DFB on May 25, 2020, no reigning champions and cup winners will take part. Since the relegations were temporarily suspended, the field of participants will consist of the 42 participants from the previous season and the promoted players. The names of the promoted players were made by the respective division carriers in their own responsibility. 17 teams in each of the North / Northeast and West relay teams and 18 teams in the South / Southwest relay teams are allowed to participate in the game.
