Beňadiková (until 1927 Slovak also "Benädyková"; Hungarian Benedekfalu , older Benedekfalva ) is a municipality in northern Slovakia with 536 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019), which belongs to the Okres Liptovský Mikuláš , part of the Žilinský kraj , and is traditional Landscape Liptov is counted.
geography
The community is located in the central part of the Liptovská kotlina basin (part of the larger Podtatranská kotlina ) below the Western Tatras on the Trnovec brook in the catchment area of the Waag . The center of the village lies at an altitude of 619 m nm and is six kilometers from Liptovský Mikuláš .
Neighboring municipalities are Liptovský Ondrej in the north, Jamník in the east, Uhorská Ves and Liptovský Ján in the south and Liptovský Mikuláš (district Okoličné ) in the west.
history
Beňadiková was first mentioned in writing in 1350 as Detryhfalua , seven years later the name Benedukfalua appears. The village was owned by the noble family Detrich and partly by the families Kiszely and Luby . In 1784 the village had 55 houses and 330 inhabitants, in 1828 there were 55 houses and 369 inhabitants who were employed as farmers. In 1885 a primary school was built in the village.
The place in Liptov County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary until 1918 and then came to Czechoslovakia and finally to Slovakia.

According to the 2011 census, Beňadiková had 466 residents, 454 of whom were Slovaks , seven Czechs and one Pole . Three residents did not provide any information about their ethnicity .
233 residents supported the Evangelical Church AB, 105 residents the Roman Catholic Church, five residents the Evangelical Methodist Church, three residents the Seventh-day Adventists, two residents the Greek Catholic Church and one resident each of the Jehovah's Witnesses , to the Old Catholic Church, to the Reformed Church and to another denomination. 89 inhabitants had no denomination and the denomination of 25 inhabitants was not determined.
