Cléry is about 35 kilometers east of Dijon . The Ognon limits the community in the northeast. Cléry is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Broye-Aubigney-Montseugny in the north, Multigney in the east and southeast, Champagney in the south and Perrigny-sur-l'Ognon in the west.
