The Danube-Bodensee-Radweg is an approximately 156 kilometer long state long -distance cycle route in south-eastern Baden-Württemberg in Germany . It leads from Ulm on the Danube to the shores of Lake Constance and thus connects two well-known long -distance cycle routes: the Danube cycle path and the Lake Constance cycle path .

The cycle path was signposted for the first time in 1977 and was awarded a quality cycle route by the ADFC in 2015.

The Danube-Lake Constance cycle path essentially runs along the Upper Swabian Baroque Road, but leads over more remote roads and country lanes. On the route of the Lake Constance cycle path , the cyclist leaves the Zeppelin city of Friedrichshafen from the city station in an easterly direction over the Rotach . After the Eriskircher Ried , you cross the Schussen on a historic wooden bridge in Eriskirch . Through the districts of Schlatt and Moos, the cyclist near Schwedi reaches the municipality of Langenargen, crosses the Argen , which comes from the Allgäu , on the second oldest cable suspension bridge in Germany and then passes through the Kressbronn districts of Gohren and Tunau . You leave Wangen in the valley of the Upper Argen . Eglofs is reached via Gießen, Aschen and Reute . The path leads through Eisenharz to the Untere Argen as far as Neutrauchburg and on to the former free imperial city of Isny . Via Schwanden and through the Haubacher Moos it goes over to the swimming lake in the Beuren district. After the Reidbrand and Herlazhofen forest , the cyclist reaches the large district town of Leutkirch . A few switchbacks lead up to Zeil Castle , the residence of the Princes of Waldburg-Zeil . The cycle path runs through Starken- and Gospoldshofen to Bad Wurzach , the oldest mud spa in Baden-Württemberg. Leave Friedrichshafen on the Lake Constance cycle path towards Meersburg . The path leads past Friedrichshafen Castle through Manzell and Fischbach to Immenstaad . Here the cyclist branches off at the town hall and drives via Bürgberg to Markdorf . At the foot of the Gehrenberg and through Wendlingen, the cycle path runs to Deggenhausertal - Roggenbeuren in the Rotach valley via Haslachmühle and Zußdorf to Wilhelmsdorf . Leaving Esenhausen on the right, you cycle at the oak mill over the Ostrach , drive through Fleischwangen , Ruprechtsbruck, Ebenweiler and arrive at Altshausen. After Ebersbach you reach the Kneipp health resort Aulendorf with its large crossing station : this is where the Württembergische Südbahn , the Württembergische Allgäubahn and the Hohenzollerische Landesbahn meet . From Moosburg there is a connection to the Danube Cycle Path via Riedlingen . To do this, the cyclist leaves the main route at Moosburg in the direction of Alles- and Bischmannshausen. Via Dentingen, past Bussen , the Holy Mountain of Upper Swabia , through Göffingen and Unlingen , the route to Riedlingen leads to the Danube .

From Laupheim, a route continues towards Ulm for the last thirty kilometers . At the Achstetter Feld, parallel to federal highway 30 , the cyclist leaves Laupheim and crosses the Rot in Achstetten , the northernmost municipality in the Biberach district . Through Stetten, Dellmensingen you get to Donaustetten . From here there is the option of two short variants - the northern one with a detour to Taubried - to Wiblingen along the Danube. After the oxbow lakes of the Danube, it is crossed shortly before the confluence of the Iller and followed to the city center of Ulm. The Danube-Bodensee cycle path ends here at the bus station. Already at the Ulm railway bridge over the Danube, the path to the east as can Donauradweg or south on the Iller bike path will continue.

Two paths lead north across the Swabian Alb near Ulm : the Alb-Neckar cycle path and the Hohenlohe-Ostalb path .
