The Schwäbische Dichterstrasse was a holiday route established in Baden-Württemberg in 1977/78 . It led from Bad Mergentheim to Meersburg. The Schwäbische Dichterstrasse had a brown inkwell with a quill on a white background as a symbol and identification mark. The literary state of Baden-Württemberg emerged from the Swabian Dichterstrasse - Europe's richest literary landscape with more than 90 permanent literary exhibitions that are financially and conceptually supported by the German Literature Archive in Marbach .
