The Donaubühne in Tulln is the largest river stage in Austria , it is only used in the summer months.

history

There was already a floating platform that was used as a stage in the 1980s. Today's Danube stage has existed since 1999. The floating stage is anchored close to the center on the banks of the Danube in the city of Tulln and was developed by the architect Eduard Neversal in close collaboration with a shipbuilder. In the course of the construction work, the existing grandstand on the bank was expanded.

Open-air events from different areas have been held since 2002 under the motto “Diversity under the stars”. The series of events traditionally ends with the large fireworks at the horticultural fair.
