Giuggianello is a south-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1155 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Lecce in Apulia . The municipality is located about 34 kilometers south-southeast of Lecce and belongs to the Unione delle Terre di Mezzo . It is about 9.5 kilometers to the east to the Ionian Sea .

Several evidences of the megalithic culture in Salento (two dolmens and two menhirs ) are preserved in the municipality.
