Caprarica di Lecce is a south-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2395 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Lecce in Apulia . The municipality is located about 13 kilometers southeast of Lecce in central Salento .
history
The menhir of Ussano documents that the municipality was already settled in the Bronze Age. Caprarica was first mentioned in a document from the 11th century.
