Sternatia (in the Greek dialect: Chora or Starnaìtta ) is a south-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2218 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Lecce in Apulia . The municipality is located about 16 kilometers south-southeast of Lecce in central Salento .
