history

On January 1, 1970, as part of the municipal reorganization in North Rhine-Westphalia, due to the law to reorganize the Ennepe-Ruhr district, a larger local area was split off at Im Dahl von Breckerfeld and incorporated into Schalksmühle. Since then, Haselnbruch has belonged politically to Schalksmühle, which in 1975 became part of the newly created Märkische Kreis due to the Sauerland / Paderborn law .
