Felde is a district in the municipality of Schalksmühle in the Märkisches Kreis in the administrative district of Arnsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The living space is located on the Schalksmühl plateau southeast of Everinghausen near the city limits of Hagen . The place can be reached via a driveway from the national road 561.

Other neighboring towns in the Schalksmühl municipality are Everinghauserheide , Mesewinkel , Haue , Mummeshohl , Berkey , Siepen , Ramsloh , Westhöhe , Spormecke , Davidshöhe , Wilfesche , Harrenscheid , Holthausen , Muhlerhagen and the deserted area of Hilmecke , as well as Lindenteich in the Hagen city area.

Until the 19th century, Felde belonged to the Midder peasantry of the parish of Hülscheid and in 1839 was part of the municipality of Hülscheid in the mayor's office of Halver in the Altena district . The place categorized as Kotten under the name im Felde according to the place and distance table of the government district Arnsberg had a house in 1839. At that time, five residents lived in the village, all of whom were evangelicals.

In 1844 the municipality of Hülscheid with Felde was split off from the Halver office and assigned to the newly established Lüdenscheid office .

The place is incorrectly recorded as Berke on the Prussian first recording from 1840 . Also on the Prussian new recording from 1892 and the subsequent edition , the place is incorrectly labeled on the TK25 measuring table , from the 1921 edition onwards as field .

The municipality and estate district statistics of the province of Westphalia in 1871 listed the place as Kotten under the name of Felde with a house and nine residents. The municipality lexicon for the province of Westphalia in 1885 gives a number of six inhabitants for Felde who lived in a residential building. In 1895 the place owned a house with ten inhabitants under the name Felde, in 1905 one house and six inhabitants are given.

In 1969, the municipalities of Hülscheid and Schalksmühle were merged to form an unofficial large municipality ( unitary municipality ) of Schalksmühle in the Altena district and since then Felde has belonged politically to Schalksmühle, which became part of the newly created Märkische Kreis in 1975 due to the Sauerland / Paderborn law .
