Winklerheide is a district of the community of Schalksmühle in the Märkisches Kreis in the administrative district of Arnsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The living space is located in the Mesekendahler Bachtal east of the federal highway 45 on the municipality border to Nachrodt-Wiblingwerde .

Neighboring places in the municipality are Winkeln , Mesekendahl , Sonnenscheid and Wersbecke , as well as the Brenscheider grain mill and the oil mill on Nahmerbach .

history

Up until the 19th century, Winklerheide belonged to the Winkeln peasantry of the Hülscheid parish . From 1816 the place was part of the municipality of Hülscheid in the mayor's office Halver in the Altena district , in 1818 seven residents lived in the place. According to the location and distance table of the government district of Arnsberg, the place called Heide, Winkler and categorized as Kotten had a house in 1839. At that time, five residents lived in the village, all of whom were evangelicals.

In 1844 the municipality of Hülscheid with Winklerheide was split off from the Halver office and assigned to the newly established Lüdenscheid office .

The place is recorded on the Prussian first recording from 1840 under the name Neuhaus . From the Prussian new admission of 1892, the place is recorded on the TK25 measuring table as Winklerheide .

The municipality and estate district statistics of the province of Westphalia in 1871 listed the place under the name Winklerheide with two houses and ten residents. The municipality encyclopedia for the province of Westphalia in 1885 gives a number of 20 residents who lived in two houses. In 1895 the place had four houses with 27 inhabitants, in 1905 three houses and 25 inhabitants are given.

In 1969, the municipalities of Hülscheid and Schalksmühle were merged to form an unofficial large municipality ( unitary municipality ) of Schalksmühle in the Altena district and Winklerheide has since been politically part of Schalksmühle, which became part of the newly created Märkische Kreis in 1975 due to the Sauerland / Paderborn law .
