Location and description

The living space is on Landesstraße 561 at the southeast entrance to Heedfeld on the city limits of Lüdenscheid . Due to its proximity to the edge of the Heedfeld development, the place is often assigned to this district and no longer perceived as an independent one.

The 18-hole golf course of the Gelstern Golf Club borders the town.

history

Little house was not built until the 19th century, belonged to the Midder farmers of the parish Hülscheid and around 1840 was part of the municipality of Hülscheid in the mayor's office of Halver in the Altena district . The place categorized as Kotten according to the place and distance table of the government district Arnsberg had a house in 1839. At that time there were seven residents living in the village, all of whom were evangelicals.

In 1844 the municipality of Hülscheid with its little house was split off from the Halver office and assigned to the newly established Lüdenscheid office .

The place is recorded on the Prussian first recording from 1840 under the name Brock . From the Prussian new admission of 1892, the place is recorded on the TK25 measuring table as a house .

The municipality and estate district statistics of the province of Westphalia listed the place as Kotten in 1871 under the name of little house with one house and seven residents. The municipality encyclopedia for the province of Westphalia in 1885 gives a number of ten inhabitants for little houses who lived in two houses. In 1895 the place had two houses with 15 inhabitants.

In 1969, the municipalities of Hülscheid and Schalksmühle were merged to form the large municipality ( unified municipality ) of Schalksmühle in the Altena district and since then Häuschen has belonged politically to Schalksmühle, which became part of the newly created Märkische Kreis in 1975 due to the Sauerland / Paderborn law .

From 1985 the golf course was laid out in the vicinity of the village, which was gradually expanded to an 18-hole course until 1997.
