Oberklagebach is a district of the community of Schalksmühle in the Märkisches Kreis in the administrative district of Arnsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

history

Upper Klagebach originated in the late 19th century and was part of the municipality Hülscheid in office Lüdenscheid in county Altena . From the Prussian new admission of 1892, the location is recorded on the TK25 measuring table without any inscription, from the 1921 edition with other buildings than Oberklagebach .

The community encyclopedia for the province of Westphalia in 1905 gives a number of three residents for Oberklagebach who lived in one house.

In 1969, the municipalities of Hülscheid and Schalksmühle were merged to form an unofficial municipality ( unitary municipality ) of Schalksmühle in the Altena district and Oberklagebach has since been politically part of Schalksmühle, which in 1975 became part of the newly created Märkische Kreis due to the Sauerland / Paderborn law .
