Rehweg is a district of the community of Schalksmühle in the Märkisches Kreis in the administrative district of Arnsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The living space is located directly on the federal highway 45 on the ridge between the valleys of the Sterbecke and the Nahmerbach near the hamlet of Winkeln .

Other neighboring towns in the municipality are Wersbecke , Vormwald , Mesekendahl , Sterbecke , Worth and Albringwerde .

history

Rehweg of the 19th century was built in the second half and was part of the municipality Hülscheid in office Lüdenscheid in county Altena . From the Prussian new admission of 1892, the place is recorded on the TK25 measuring table as Rehweg, on current editions the place of residence is shown unlabeled.

The municipality and estate district statistics of the province of Westphalia lists Rehweg 1871 as an establishment with one house and four residents. The community encyclopedia for the province of Westphalia from 1887 gives a number of eight residents who lived in a residential building. In 1895 the place had a house with five residents, and in 1905 a house was also given.

In 1969, the municipalities of Hülscheid and Schalksmühle were merged to form the large municipality ( unified municipality ) of Schalksmühle in the Altena district, and Rehweg has since been politically part of Schalksmühle, which in 1975 became part of the newly created Märkische Kreis due to the Sauerland / Paderborn law .

In 1971, the federal motorway 45, which passed by the site, was opened.
