history

Nöllenhammer, which initially belonged to the parish of Halver , was first mentioned in a document in 1800 and was probably created only slightly earlier than a split from Halverscheidt.

In 1838 Nöllenhammer belonged to the Oeckinghauser peasantry within the Halver mayor . The place categorized as Breithammer according to the place and distance table of the government district Arnsberg had at that time a factory or mill and an agricultural building. At that time, three residents lived in the village, all of whom were Protestant.

The place is marked on the Prussian first recording from 1840 with a mill symbol. From the Prussian new admission in 1892, the location is recorded on the TK25 measuring table as initially as Nöltenhammer , later as Nöllenhammer .

The municipality and estate district statistics of the province of Westphalia in 1871 listed the place as a colony with one house and 13 inhabitants. The municipality lexicon for the province of Westphalia in 1885 gives a number of 21 residents for Nöllenhammer who lived in three houses. In 1895 the place had three houses with 15 inhabitants and belonged to the evangelical parish Schalksmühle, in 1905 the place had three houses and 22 inhabitants.

On October 1, 1912, the area around the place was spun off from the municipality of Halver and assigned to the newly founded municipality of Schalksmühle.
