history

Worth was built in the second half of the 19th century and was part of the municipality Hülscheid in office Lüdenscheid in county Altena . The place is from the Prussian new recording from 1892 on Ordnance Survey recorded the TK25 as Worth.

The municipality and estate district statistics of the province of Westphalia in 1871 listed the place as an establishment with one house and six residents. The municipality lexicon for the province of Westphalia from 1887 gives a number of four residents for Worth who lived in a residential building. In 1895 the place had a house with nine inhabitants, in 1905 one house and nine inhabitants are also given.

In 1969, the municipalities of Hülscheid and Schalksmühle were merged to form an unofficial large municipality ( unitary municipality ) of Schalksmühle in the Altena district and Worth has since been politically part of Schalksmühle, which became part of the newly created Märkische Kreis in 1975 due to the Sauerland / Paderborn law .

In 1971, the federal motorway 45, which was driven directly past the site , was opened with the Lüdenscheid-Nord junction .
