history
Stallhaus belonged to the western farmers of the parish of Hülscheid until the 19th century . The place had the two living spaces Ober- and Unterstallhaus .
From 1816 the place was part of the municipality of Hülscheid in the mayor's office Halver in the Altena district , in 1818 eight residents lived in the place. The place, categorized as a courtyard according to the locality and distance table of the government district Arnsberg , had two houses in 1839, a factory or mill and three agricultural buildings. At that time, 15 residents lived in the village, all of whom were evangelicals.
In 1844 the municipality of Hülscheid with the stable house was split off from the Halver office and assigned to the newly established Lüdenscheid office .
The place is not labeled on the Prussian first recording from 1840. From the Prussian new admission in 1892, the location is recorded on the TK25 measuring table as Stallhausen , from the 1955 edition onwards as a stable house .
The municipality and estate district statistics of the province of Westphalia in 1871 listed the place as a farm under the name stable house with two houses and 16 inhabitants. The municipality lexicon for the province of Westphalia in 1885 gives a number of 17 inhabitants for Stallhausen who lived in two houses. In 1895 the place had two houses with 19 inhabitants, in 1905 two houses and eleven inhabitants are given.
In 1969, the municipalities of Hülscheid and Schalksmühle were merged to form the large municipality ( unitary municipality ) , which was free of charge, in the Altena district and Stallhaus has since been politically part of Schalksmühle, which became part of the newly created Märkische Kreis in 1975 due to the Sauerland / Paderborn law .
The place remained an isolated homestead until the 1960s, but then underwent a large-scale expansion in the form of a new building area, which expanded south of the original settlement along the streets Stallhaus , Falkenweg and Waldesruh in the direction of the Großer Klagebach and today this with the expanding stream Waldesruh today forms a closed settlement area.
