Everinghausen is a district of the community of Schalksmühle in the Märkisches Kreis in the administrative district of Arnsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The village is located on a plateau between the Hilmecke brook and the Wilfesche brook near the city limits of Hagen . The place can be reached via a driveway from the state road 561 near Everinghauserheide. The Hemecke brook rises near Everinghausen.

Other neighboring towns in the Schalksmühl municipality are Reineberge , Kamp , Mummeshohl , Mesewinkel , Siepen , Berkey , Felde , Ramsloh , Davidshöhe , Wilfesche , Holthausen , Muhlerhagen and the Hilmecke desert , as well as Sterbeckerhammer , Rohagen and Lindenteich in the Hagen city area.

history

Until the 19th century, Everinghausen belonged to the Midder peasantry of the parish of Hülscheid . From 1816 the place was part of the municipality of Hülscheid in the mayor's office Halver in the Altena district , in 1818 112 inhabitants lived in the place. The place categorized as a village according to the location and distance table of the government district of Arnsberg had 21 residential houses, three factories or mills and 13 agricultural buildings in 1839. At that time 115 people lived in the place, three of them Catholic and 112 Protestant denominations.

In 1844 the municipality of Hülscheid with Everinghausen was split off from the Halver office and assigned to the newly established Lüdenscheid office .

The place is recorded on the Prussian first recording from 1840 under the name Everinghausen . From the Prussian new admission of 1892, the place is recorded on the TK25 measuring table as Everinghausen .

The municipality and estate district statistics of the province of Westphalia in 1871 listed the place as a hamlet under the name Everinghausen with 22 houses and 169 inhabitants. The municipality lexicon for the province of Westphalia in 1885 gives a number of 136 inhabitants for Everinghausen who lived in 22 houses. In 1895 the place had 23 houses with 125 inhabitants, in 1905 22 houses and 151 inhabitants are given.

In 1969, the municipalities of Hülscheid and Schalksmühle were merged to form the larger municipality ( unified municipality ) of Schalksmühle in the Altena district and Everinghausen has since been politically part of Schalksmühle, which became part of the newly created Märkische Kreis in 1975 due to the Sauerland / Paderborn law .
