Amphop is a district in the municipality of Schalksmühle in the Märkisches Kreis in the administrative district of Arnsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The living space is located east of the Heedfeld district, west of the federal motorway 45, directly on the city limits of Lüdenscheid . The place can be reached via a driveway from the state road 692 near Schnarüm .

Other neighboring towns in the Schalksmühler municipal area are Heedfeld , Eichholz , Kuhlenkeppig , Worth , Wersbecke , Schnarüm , Gelstern , Häuschen , Altenhülscheid , Dornbusch and Hülscheid , as well as Eggenscheid , Römerweg , Hülscheiderbaum and Dönne in the Lüdenscheid urban area.

The 18-hole golf course of the Gelstern Golf Club completely encompasses the place.

history

Amphop belonged to the Midder peasantry of the parish Hülscheid until the 19th century . From 1816 the place was part of the municipality of Hülscheid in the mayor's office of Halver in the Altena district , in 1818 13 residents lived in the place. The sound of Ortschafts- and removal table of the governmental district Arnsberg as Ackergut categorized place possessed under the name Amphop 1839 two houses and two farm buildings. At that time, 17 residents lived in the village, all of whom were evangelicals.

In 1844, the municipality of Hülscheid with Amphop was split off from the Halver office and assigned to the newly established Lüdenscheid office .

The place is recorded on the Prussian first recording from 1840 under the name Amphop . From the Prussian new admission of 1892, the place is recorded on the TK25 measuring table as an amphop .

The municipality and estate district statistics of the province of Westphalia in 1871 listed the place as a farm under the name Amphop with four houses and 32 residents. The municipality encyclopedia for the province of Westphalia in 1885 gives a number of 42 inhabitants for Amphop, who lived in four houses. In 1895 the place had five houses with 41 inhabitants, in 1905 five houses and 37 inhabitants are given.

In 1969 the municipalities of Hülscheid and Schalksmühle were merged to form the large municipality ( unified municipality ) of Schalksmühle in the Altena district and Amphop has been politically part of Schalksmühle since then, which in 1975 became part of the newly created Märkische Kreis due to the Sauerland / Paderborn law .

From 1985 the golf course was laid out in the vicinity of the village, which was gradually expanded to an 18-hole course until 1997.
