Location and description
The living space is located on the southern outskirts of Hülscheid and, like the directly neighboring Schmermbecke , forms a common closed settlement area with it today, but was separate from Hülscheid until the second half of the 20th century and was perceptible as an independent settlement. The original settlement was on the Brinkerhof street of the same name .
Other neighboring towns in the Schalksmühler municipal area are Altenhülscheid , Ramsloh , Westhöhe , Spormecke , Siepen , Berkey , Mummeshohl , Davidshöhe , Felde , Mesewinkel , Eichholz , Heedfeld , Lauenscheidermühle and the deserted Hilmecke .
history
Brinkerhof emerged only in the second half of the 19th century and was part of the municipality Hülscheid in office Lüdenscheid in county Altena . From the Prussian new admission in 1892, the place is recorded on the TK25 measuring table as Brinkerhof .
The municipality and estate district statistics of the province of Westphalia in 1871 listed the place as Kotten under the name Brinkerhof with two houses and 13 inhabitants. The municipality lexicon for the province of Westphalia in 1885 gives a number of twelve inhabitants for Brinkerhof who lived in a residential building. In 1895 the place also has a house with nine inhabitants, in 1905 one house and six inhabitants are given.
In 1969, the municipalities of Hülscheid and Schalksmühle were merged to form an unofficial large municipality ( unitary municipality ) of Schalksmühle in the Altena district and Brinkerhof has since been politically part of Schalksmühle, which in 1975 became part of the newly created Märkische Kreis due to the Sauerland / Paderborn law .
In the second half of the 20th century, the Hülscheid residential development expanded to the south and reached the residential area, so the Brinkerhof is now one of the localities of Hülscheid.
