Detailed memorial texts

  1. Monument text: The Kohlbach Kunstgraben, which was laid out in 1556, is part of the historical Revierwasserlaufsanstalt (cf. the general document - ID-No. 08991218), an extensive system of artificial ditches, florets and reservoirs for the accumulation and drainage of impact water that has emerged over several centuries for Freiberg mining. He belongs to the so-called upper water supply. The artificial ditch leads over a length of approx. 12.2 km from the Upper Großhartmannsdorfer Teich (see ID no. 08991218) west around the Middle Großhartmannsdorfer Teich (see ibid.) To the Brander mining area. In its course it crosses several water-discharging streams, including the Kohlbach, which gives it its name, on Müdisdorf. While part of the water flows into the Gelobt Lander pond (see ID no. 09208676), the main branch of the Kohlbach Kunstgraben flows into the upper mouth of the so-called connecting rose (see ID no. 9304679), which leads to Neu Glück and Drei in the north Oak treasure trove (see ID No. 09208748).
The artificial moat has a face made of dry stone and was originally covered to a large extent with wooden slabs in order to prevent contamination and excessive evaporation of the water. Today the rind cover has largely given way to a concrete slab cover. The Kunstgraben has several tees in its course and has disappeared in the area of the Großhartmannsdorfer Church. It is still in use and is integrated into Freiberg's service and drinking water supply.
As part of the historical as well as the actively managed Revierwasserlaufanstalt, the Kohlbach Kunstgraben is not only of regional historical importance, but also of great importance in terms of mining history, as it testifies to the efforts made to maintain the local mine in conjunction with other - partly fragmentary - preserved mining water management systems Ore mining was undertaken using water-powered drive and processing technology. At the same time, the Kunstgraben is an example of the change in use of such infrastructures after mining was discontinued towards the provision of regional drinking water and process water and, as a system that shapes the landscape and continues to function, has a special experience and memorable value. (LfD / 2013).

  8. Monument text: The transformer tower was built in 1953 on behalf of the VVB Energy District East , Operations Directorate East, by the Freiberg district construction company as the "Neuwaltersdorf substation". The building, which is strongly influenced by the Heimat style and the architecture of the 1930s, is possibly a type building by the client, which fits well into the village image thanks to its design with a high quarry stone base, plastered upper floor and a typical gable roof. The monument value of the transformer tower results from its importance for the supply history of Großhartmannsdorf as well as from its technical and architectural value. (LfD / 2012).

In 1566 the mill was awarded to the Bergvoigt, mine manager and chief miner Martin Planer (1510–1582) by the elector due to his Earn nste about Freiberg mining - the planner died here on February 25, 1582, the pond mill owner around 1790 was Christian Karl Gottlob Dietze, in 1933 the pond mill became the property of the Revierwasserlaufanstalt, but remained in operation until the 1950s, later a restaurant, from 1991 Youth leisure center / youth hostel.

ID-No. 08991215) , a marker stone that marked the underground course of the Rösche in the area, has also been preserved on Obersaidaer Flur - slightly offset from the original location (see ID no. 08991139).
  15. Monument text: Typical Erzgebirge stable house with a shed part, probably built around 1780. Two-storey rural house with a massive ground floor and half-timbered upper storey (partly massive replaced), closed off by a steep pitched roof. Ground floor quarry stone masonry, in the area of the coach house partly brick masonry, historical plaster, window frames with a hollow for the winter windows (which are originally preserved), accessible on the eaves side. Small window next to the front door to illuminate the hallway. Window possibly around 1930, split bars, two-winged with skylight. On the ground floor next to the front door stable door and door for the coach house. The door leaves are no longer from the construction period. Facing eaves side and mostly facing gable side with half-timbering on the upper floor. Facing gable side, originally half-timbered on the upper floor without loam staking with planking, today aerated concrete blocks, still with original planking. Solid facing away from the eaves, partly brickwork, partly aerated concrete blocks. Whether the facing side of the eaves was always massive cannot be read from the building today.
The sequence of rooms in the house is still easy to read today. The ground floor is, as was widespread in small farmhouses in the Ore Mountains, divided into four parts - the living part to the left of the hallway, the continuous hallway with stairs to the upper floor, the stable part (two small stables for sheep and cows) and the drawer part . The upper floor also has this transverse division - into the living area, hallway, living area and barn area. The living and barn part to the right of the hallway is no longer clearly visible today. From this area, a staircase dating from the construction period with inserted boards leads to the attic. The roof is a collar beam roof with a single standing chair and a lateral wind brace. All wood connections were made by peeling.
Apart from the structural changes that have been made recently and are still marginal today, the building has largely been preserved in its original form. In the second half of the 19th century there was probably an extension of the small room next to the large living room on the ground floor, which was possibly used as an old part. This structural change can be clearly recognized by the segmental arches above the windows of the extension inside the house. This measure took place in the traditionally customary construction method, so that it in no way represents an impairment of the existing building stock. The house impresses with its original appearance and its room layout, which is still easy to read today. This makes it a testimony to rural building and life in the 18th century in the Ore Mountains. The monument value results from the building and socio-historical value of the house. (LfD / 2011).
  16. Natural stone plinth with segmented arched windows, two-storey, ground floor with segmented arched windows, box windows, entrance building with original skylight, profiled window frames, circumferential cornices, side projections on the narrow sides, stepped central projection gable, with quarter-circle-shaped shell motifs, short pilasters, clock and triglyphs on the gable roof , Hipped roof, slate roofing, side projections with a crooked hipped roof.
