The Talar-e Rudaki was built on the initiative of Shahbanu Farah Pahlavi on a 15,700 m² property and opened on October 25, 1967. The building consists of an opera house with a seven-storey administrative building attached to the auditorium, which also houses the rehearsal rooms and a restaurant. In the building there is also a small salon for chamber concerts. |

The construction was decided in 2001 by Sultan Qaboos by royal decree. After a limited architectural competition in 2003, the architectural firm Wimberly Allison Tong and Goo (WATG) emerged as the winner and was commissioned with the overall planning. Construction began in April 2007. Originally the music theater was to be called the House of Musical Arts , but during the construction phase it was decided to open it as the Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) (based on the London Royal Opera House in Covent Garden). The opera house opened in early September 2011 as part of a gala evening with a small group of guests of honor with the opera Rigoletto by Verdi . The first theater season began on October 14, 2011 with the opera Turandot by Puccini , conducted by Plácido Domingo , and lasted until the New Year's gala at the end of 2011. |

Ho Chi Minh City | Municipal Theater (Ho Chi Minh City) | The Municipal Theater , also known as the Saigon Opera House (Vietnamese: Nhà hát lớn Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh ) is an opera house in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It is an example of French colonial architecture in Vietnam. The building with 800 seats, erected in 1897 by the French architect Eugène Ferret as Opėra de Saigon , was used as the residence of the lower house assembly of South Vietnam after 1956. It was not used as a theater again until 1975 and was restored in 1995. |
