Longnes is a French commune with 1,448 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Yvelines in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Mantes-la-Jolie and the canton of Bonnières-sur-Seine (until 2015: canton of Houdan ). The inhabitants are called Longnais .

Longnes is about 55 kilometers west-northwest of Paris . Longnes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Neauphlette in the north and west, Ménerville in the north, Le Tertre-Saint-Denis in the north-east, Dammartin-en-Serve in the east, Flins-Neuve-Église in the south, Mondreville in the south-west and Gilles in the west and south-west .
