New Zealand national cricket team in South Africa in the 2012/13 season
The New Zealand national cricket team tour to South Africa in the 2012/13 season took place from December 21, 2012 to January 25, 2013. The international cricket tour was part of the 2012/13 international cricket season and included two tests , three ODIs and three Twenty20s . South Africa won the Test series 2–0 and the Twenty20 series 2–1, while New Zealand won the ODI series 2–1.
prehistory
South Africa previously toured Australia while New Zealand toured Sri Lanka . The last tour of the two teams against each other took place in the 2011/12 season in New Zealand . With Brendon McCullum, New Zealand nominated a new captain for all three formats .
