Monday November 1, 1999
- Bonn / Germany : The Prime Minister of Saxony Kurt Biedenkopf ( CDU ), who was confirmed in the state elections on September 19, takes up his post as President of the Federal Council . The agreed relocation of the Federal Council plenary meetings from Bonn to Berlin will fall into his tenure. Biedenkopf is the first Federal Council President appointed by the State of Saxony.
Thursday November 4, 1999
- Hamburg / Germany : Jan Philipp Reemtsma , head of the Hamburg Institute for Social Research , reacts to ongoing criticism of factual errors in the Wehrmacht exhibition by stopping the event, which has so far had 900,000 visitors.
Friday 5th November 1999
- Königstein im Taunus / Germany : Walter Leisler Kiep , who is wanted for tax evasion , former treasurer of the CDU and “special agent” of party chairman Helmut Kohl , faces the judge. In the affair there is also wild speculation about an illegal donation practice in the CDU.
- Washington, DC / USA : Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson of the Federal District Court of the District of Columbia , decides that it is in Microsoft's dominance in the market for operating systems to a monopoly concerns.
Saturday 6th November 1999
- Canberra / Australia : The population votes in a referendum with a majority of 55% against the creation of a republic . Australia formally remains a constitutional monarchy under Queen Elizabeth II.
- Dushanbe / Tajikistan : In the presidential election , 96.9% of voters opt for a second term of office for President Emomalij Rahmonov .

- Germany : On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall , the film Heroes Like Us opens in cinemas.
- Hof / Germany : The " Fernwehpark Hof Signs of Fame ", a collection of signs from all over the world, is made accessible to the public.
Thursday November 11, 1999
- Karlsruhe / Germany : The Federal Constitutional Court orders a review of the state fiscal equalization , in which the financially strong states leave part of their income to the weaker states. In the opinion of the court, the regulations of the equalization do not correspond to the requirements of the Basic Law because they are difficult to understand on the one hand and non-transparent on the other. The process of redistribution, on the other hand, is generally compatible with the Basic Law.

- Paradise / United States : The British - Canadian boxer Lennox Lewis defeated the American Evander Holyfield after point judgment and brings to his person the world title in the heavyweight division of the associations WBA , WBC , IBF and IBO .
Sunday November 14, 1999
- Kiev / Ukraine : In the second round of the presidential elections , the incumbent incumbent Leonid Kuchma is elected for a second term.
Wednesday November 17, 1999
- Tunis / Tunisia : President Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali appoints Mohamed Ghannouchi , who has held various ministerial offices since Ben Ali's assumption of power in November 1987, to succeed Hamed Karoui as prime minister . Karoui's ten-year term was the longest since the Republic of Tunisia was proclaimed. All three politicians are members of the Constitutional Democratic Rally party .

- Alxa / China : With the first launch of the Shenzhou spacecraft on the Long March CZ-2F carrier rocket from the Jiuquan spaceport in Inner Mongolia , the People's Republic is testing the emergency of its manned space program on an unmanned mission , the earliest conception of which dates from the 1960s. After Russia and the United States, China would be the third country on earth to send manned spaceships into space.
- Istanbul / Turkey : The cross-bloc character of the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE) to limit heavy weapon systems is to be transformed into a territorial character with an amendment agreement . Furthermore, the CFE contracting states are discussing a guarantee of mutual arms control .
- Istanbul / Turkey : At the OSCE summit , Russia assures the Republic of Moldova that all of its troops will be withdrawn from the de facto independent part of Transnistria by the end of 2002.
Saturday 20th November 1999
- Odi / Nigeria : In search of the " Egbesu Boys ", members of militant groups of the Ijaw in the Niger Delta , government soldiers destroy almost the entire city of Odi. The action began the day before and claims many lives among the 15,000 residents.

- Erfurt / Germany : The Federal Labor Court , which was relocated to Erfurt in the course of German reunification, begins operations.
Wednesday November 24, 1999
- Niamey / Niger : In the second round of the presidential election in Niger , around 60% of voters vote for Mamadou Tandja from the National Development Society and around 40% for Mahamadou Issoufou from the Nigerien Party for Democracy and Socialism .
Friday November 26th 1999
- Berlin / Germany : The Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt ends the use of the Bessy storage ring to generate intensive UV radiation in the Wilmersdorf district . The successor storage ring Bessy II in the Köpenick district has been in operation since March .
- Hanover / Germany : Lower Saxony's Prime Minister Gerhard Glogowski ( SPD ) resigns after he was unable to dispel the allegations against him with regard to free vacation trips and irregularities in real estate transactions. Glogowski will remain in office until a successor is found.
Saturday November 27, 1999
- Wellington , New Zealand : The Labor Party (NZLP) wins the general election by presenting itself as a possible senior partner in a center-left government. Top NZLP candidate Helen Clark is expected to be the first female Prime Minister elected in New Zealand history.
Sunday November 28, 1999
- Auburn / Australia : The new building of the Gallipoli Mosque Auburn is officially opened. Construction work lasted for 13 years.
- Dortmund / Germany : The general meeting of the registered club Borussia Dortmund approves the spin-off of the department of licensed football players into Borussia Dortmund GmbH & Co. KGaA. Large parts of the association are to be converted into a listed company.
- Montevideo / Uruguay : Jorge Batlle from the Red Party wins the runoff election against Tabaré Vázquez from the party alliance Broad Front and will be the next Uruguayan president .
Tuesday November 30, 1999
- Altlandsberg / Germany: four students and the bus driver die in an accident with a school bus.
- Tokyo / Japan : Manchester United from the United Kingdom wins the game for the football world cup for club teams 1-0 against the Brazilian club Palmeiras São Paulo .
