final
For Barry Pinches , who made it past the quarterfinals for the first time ever on the Main Tour, his first final was a frustrating experience. With three high breaks he was already 3-1 in the lead and would have only needed one frame to win. But Mark Selby, famous for his comeback qualities, not only broke the run with the 2: 3 connection, in the next two frames he let his opponent watch in two long century breaks as he turned the game and 4: 3 won. For Selby it was the second tournament success as a professional snooker.
