Rémilly is about 55 kilometers east-southeast of Nevers on the edge of the Morvan . Rémilly is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montaron in the north and north-west, Vandenesse in the north, Sémelay in the east and north-east, Lanty in the south and east, Savigny-Poil-Fol in the south and south-east, Fours in the west and Thaix in the west and north-west.
