South African national cricket team against Pakistan in the 2010/11 season

The game series of the South African national cricket team against Pakistan in the 2010/11 season took place from October 26 to November 24, 2010 in the United Arab Emirates . The international cricket tour was part of the 2010/11 international cricket season and included two Twenty20s , five ODIs and two test matches . South Africa won the Twenty20 series 2-0 and the ODI series 3-2, while the Test series ended 0-0 as both games ended in a draw.

prehistory

Extra Twenty20

On August 26, 2010, the two teams announced an additional Twenty20 during the tour to raise funds for those affected by the 2010 flood disaster in Pakistan .

Pakistani test captain

After the Pakistani players Salman Butt , Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir were suspended by the ICC on the previous tour against England due to aiding and abetting in betting fraud , Pakistan had to replace the previous test captain Butt. On October 8, 2010, Misbah-ul-Haq was appointed the new test captain.
