The most successful team was that of the Italian hosts with a total of ten medals, including six gold. In second place the national rankings followed Poland with the absolute highest total number of medals, 18 of them, including five gold, in third place followed by the Netherlands with five gold medals, four of which by a single athlete, the short-term specialist Elis Ligtlee won were.
In the U23 riders, Elis Ligtlee dominated the short-term disciplines of women, while there was no similarly dominant athlete for men. The Belgian Lotte Kopecky won two gold medals, in the Omnium and in the points race. The Italian Filippo Ganna won two medals, a gold one in the individual pursuit and a silver one in the team pursuit.
